What do you get if you cross a recently re-formed mid-’90s pop-punk trio, a group of ’80s hard rock legends with only one original member and some contemporary Canadian indie-rockers? The 2010 Reading and Leeds Festival, that’s where.

Organizers have today revealed the headliners for the August 27-29 bash: Guns N’ Roses (Reading Friday, Leeds Sunday), Arcade Fire (Reading Saturday, Leeds Friday) and Blink-182 (Reading Sunday, Leeds Saturday).

Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker reconstituted Blink in early 2009 and are supposedly currently working on a comeback album. The current incarnation of GN’R — original singer Axl Rose plus various latter-day additions — issued the band’s long awaited sixth album ‘Chinese Democracy’ in late 2008.

Arcade Fire, meanwhile, are expected to release their third album — and follow-up to 2009′s ‘Neon Bible’ — sometime towards the end of the summer.

The line-up, which was announced at 7.15, also confirmed that the Libertines reuniting for the festival, which had been widely reported earlier in the day, including on Spinner.
